There is something profoundly wrong
about abusing a person who was never cruel to you.
Someone who showed you softness,
who offered you trust,
who carried their own pain quietly
and still tried to love you well.
To harm a person already carrying
the heaviest trauma of their life
is not just selfish
it is something darker.
It is a violation of the sacred.
It is a betrayal of the human heart.
When someone sees another human struggling
and chooses to hurt them anyway,
it reveals a lack of empathy
that should never be excused,
never minimized,
never explained away.
Because cruelty toward the wounded
is not an accident
it is a choice.
A choice to ignore their humanity.
A choice to disregard their pain.
A choice to take advantage of their vulnerability
instead of protecting it.
And the truth is,
God sees every tear the world overlooks.
He sees the weight they carried alone.
He sees the harm done in moments
when they were already fighting to survive.
But He also sees the heart that stayed gentle
even after being mistreated.
He sees the soul that refused to become bitter.
He sees the strength it took
to keep loving in a world that didn’t love back.
And He will deal with the cruelty
that others tried to hide.
Not through revenge,
but through justice.
Not through bitterness,
but through healing.
Not through retaliation,
but through restoration.
The one who was wounded
will rise again.
The one who was mistreated
will be rebuilt.
The one who was hurt
will be held by God Himself.
Scripture
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
Message
Your pain was real,
but so is God’s protection
and He will never let cruelty have the final word in your story.
