And if a man dies
with no wounds on his body,
but a war raging inside his mind,
did he really die by his own hand,
or was he slowly destroyed
by everything he never felt safe enough to say?
Some battles leave no bruises.
Some wounds bleed inward.
Some wars are fought in silence
because the world taught him
to swallow his pain,
to hide his fear,
to bury his heartbreak
beneath a smile that fooled everyone
except God.
People say he looked fine.
People say he seemed strong.
People say they never saw the signs.
But storms don’t always make noise
sometimes they collapse quietly
inside the soul.
And the truth is,
a man can be dying long before he dies.
Dying from the weight of expectations.
Dying from the pressure to be unbreakable.
Dying from the fear of being misunderstood.
Dying from the pain he never had permission to speak.
So was it his hand that ended him,
or the silence that suffocated him?
Was it his choice,
or the world that taught him
that vulnerability was weakness
and honesty was too heavy to carry?
Only God knows the full story.
Only God saw the war.
Only God heard the cries
that never made it past his lips.
And God is not a judge standing far away
He is the One who gathers the broken,
the weary,
the overwhelmed,
and whispers,
“I saw your pain.
I saw your fight.
I saw your heart.
And I never stopped loving you.”
Scripture
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
Message
Some people fight battles the world never sees
be gentle, be present, and remember that kindness
can be the lifeline someone is silently praying for.
