Do you know why Saul hated David so much?
It wasn’t just jealousy.
It was insecurity exposed by God’s favor.
Saul hated David because David carried
what Saul was losing.
The anointing had shifted.
God’s presence had lifted.
And instead of repenting,
Saul compared.
David didn’t take Saul’s throne by force.
He took it by obedience,
by humility,
by walking in God’s approval.
Saul saw himself reflected
in David’s future
and couldn’t handle it.
He saw the man he could have been,
the leader he failed to become,
the calling he forfeited
through disobedience.
That’s why some people
don’t hate you for what you did
they hate you for who you’re becoming.
Your growth threatens their comfort.
Your favor exposes their insecurity.
Your obedience reveals their rebellion.
Favor will expose hearts.
And insecurity will always try
to destroy what it cannot control.
Scripture
“Saul was afraid of David,
because the Lord was with David
but had departed from Saul.”
1 Samuel 18:12
Message
When God’s hand is on your life,
you don’t have to fight for position.
Your obedience will open doors
that intimidation cannot close.
Walk in your calling
even if it makes others uncomfortable.
