Last night, as usual, I lay on my back in bed and scrolled through my phone one last time before going to sleep. I quickly read a bit on Maroela Media just to end my day peacefully. It’s my daily routine before I fall asleep.
But something was different last night. I suddenly became very tired, unusually fast.
I then prayed my evening prayer softly, as always, and fell asleep almost immediately.
Then my dream began…
I see myself at a large, bright white table. The light around me is soft and warm, like sunlight through clouds. Across from me sits the Lord Himself.
His presence fills everything with peace, the kind of peace you cannot describe with words.
He looks at me with gentleness in His eyes and asks calmly:
“How many people do you know?”
I think for a moment and say, “Many, Lord. I have met many people over the years.”
He asks again:
“Do you know anyone who deserves to sit where you sit, and go through what you are going through now?”
I think deeply about it again and then mention a few names.
“I don’t think they deserve it, Lord,” I answer, “but I would gladly trade places with some of them, because some have done wrong things to me, and sometimes I wish they could feel my pain so they would know what I’m going through.”
Then the Lord says softly but firmly:
“The names you mentioned are not strong enough to carry what you are carrying. They will not withstand the trial, because they are not yet ready to be shaped and strengthened by Me. I do not choose those who are too proud; I choose those who can be healed by Me and made complete through My power.”
There is a moment of silence, a holy silence that cuts through my soul.
Then He speaks again, softly but with authority:
“Before you were born, I chose you. I determined your purpose long before you knew who you were. You were simply too busy to see what I had prepared for you. Now I give you the chance to choose for yourself.
Through what I place on your path, you will discover My plan.”
I then ask, “Lord, why must I go through so much pain?”
Jesus gently takes my hands and says:
“I did not only choose you, you asked Me so many times. You prayed so many times: ‘Lord, use me as You will.’ And I answered you: it will not be easy. It will hurt. You will shed tears, be tested, and even mocked. But when you are ready, we can begin. It started for you five years ago.”
As He speaks, my heart breaks open. I sit there at the table and sob loudly, the tears flowing without stopping. I feel raw and small, yet safe.
I ask Him, “Why, Lord? Why all this pain and hurt around me, things I am not even part of?”
He smiles gently and says:
“What I have planned for you is not meant for everyone. I am testing you, just as I tested Moses. You cannot take everyone with you.
Those who are sincere and understand your pain will share in the fruits of success and peace with you. Your trial is not only for you, it is also for those around you who seek peace and love. Those who walk your path with Me will be blessed. But those who rise against Me will not go with you.”
Then Jesus takes my hands in His, warm and strong, as He lifts me up.
He says softly:
“Come, walk with Me.”
I look down at my legs and say through my tears:
“But Lord, You know I cannot walk… That was Your plan.”
He answers:
“I am the Alpha and the Omega. What I speak will happen. Stand up and walk with Me. Take My hand, and stand up!”
I take His hand, and right then I feel warmth move through my body, and I stand up. I look down, and for the first time in almost five years, I feel my feet carry my own weight.
It was so real, so holy, that I could hardly understand what was happening.
We then walk together through a garden full of beautiful, colorful flowers, each flower so alive it feels as if all of nature is breathing.
As we walk, Jesus says with gentleness and wisdom in His voice:
“A broken lamp shines just as brightly as a new one. The glass around the lamp is there to protect the flame, but it is the oil that makes the light burn. When the glass is broken, the wind will try to extinguish the flame, and that is why the lamp sometimes struggles to keep burning. But if the oil is pure and strong, even the storm cannot put it out. I am that oil in your lamp. I am the One who keeps your flame alive and protects your light from the wind.”
Then we sit down at the table again.
Jesus looks at me with compassion and asks:
“Are you ready for what I have planned for you?”
I answer uncertainly:
“Lord, I speak too fast, I have twitches…
Who will listen to someone in a wheelchair when I tell my story?”
He smiles and says:
“You speak fast because you carry too much in your heart that you must share.
You still don’t understand why I chose you. You speak fast, but you have not yet spoken of Me. Your twitches are not a curse they are a sign. Through them, those who laugh at you and mock you will come to Me. Your pain is not your punishment, it is your testimony. Your wheelchair is not your limitation, it is your calling.”
Then He adds softly:
“I will give you everything you need. Because now your story begins.”
I wake up suddenly, confused and disoriented. My heart was pounding, and my face was wet with tears. I quickly tried to write everything down on my phone so I wouldn’t forget. I have never had such a real, divine experience, it felt as if I was truly in His presence.
That feeling of peace, love, and holiness wrapped around me like a warm blanket.
Then I realized:
God sent this dream to remind me that my pain is not in vain. That every tear, every obstacle, and even my limitation is part of His greater plan.
He uses my brokenness to show His light, because it is through the cracks that the light comes in.
