Surround yourself with friends who don’t just clap when life is easy,
but who will fight for you when life gets heavy.
Friends who will tear a hole in the roof if they have to,
just to get you to the feet of Jesus.
Friends who don’t run when things get messy.
Friends who don’t disappear when you’re hurting.
Friends who don’t judge your weakness,
but lift you up when you can’t lift yourself.
The kind of friends who pray for you behind closed doors,
who speak life into you when you feel empty,
who remind you of God’s promises when you forget them.
The kind of friends who carry your name to heaven
when your own prayers feel too heavy to speak.
These are the friends who see your worth
even when you feel broken.
The ones who refuse to let you stay stuck.
The ones who push you toward healing,
toward hope,
toward Jesus.
Because real friends don’t just stand beside you
they carry you when you can’t walk.
They lift you when you fall.
They fight for you when you’re too tired to fight for yourself.
Surround yourself with people who love you like that.
People who will break through barriers,
push past obstacles,
and do whatever it takes
to get you into the presence of the One who can make you whole.
Scripture
“When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralyzed man,
‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’”
Mark 2:5
(The man was healed because his friends carried him to Jesus.)
Message
You deserve people who lift you, not drain you
and God will send the kind of friends who carry you closer to Him,
not farther away.
