Abusing someone who was never malicious toward you,
especially while they were walking through
the hardest trauma of their life,
is deeply disturbing and cruel.
It reveals a heart untouched by empathy,
a spirit unwilling to see beyond itself,
and a soul that confuses power with love.
To harm someone already broken,
to add weight to shoulders already trembling,
to silence a voice already fighting to breathe
that is not strength.
That is cowardice.
That is cruelty in its purest form.
Because kindness costs nothing,
but cruelty costs everything.
It costs trust.
It costs dignity.
It costs the humanity that connects us all.
And the truth is,
those who wound the innocent
are not exposing the weakness of their victim
they are exposing the emptiness within themselves.
You cannot call it love
if it leaves scars.
You cannot call it care
if it deepens pain.
You cannot call it relationship
if it thrives on control.
To abuse someone in their darkest hour
is to stand against the very heart of God,
who draws near to the brokenhearted,
who lifts the crushed in spirit,
who heals the wounded soul.
Scripture
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
Message
Hurting the innocent reveals cruelty,
but protecting the broken reveals character.
Choose compassion
because God Himself stands with the wounded.
