Every day we are faced with choices that shape our lives.
Some choices bring us closer to Christ, while others pull us away.
In a world filled with distractions, false promises, and shallow values,
the question remains: Where do we find our true worth?

The answer is simple yet profound our value is found in Christ alone.
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27) reminds us that His presence within us is the source of our identity, strength, and eternal hope.

The Value of Christ in Our Lives

The world often measures value by wealth, success, or recognition.
But Jesus teaches us that true value is found in being children of God.

  • We are redeemed: Bought with a price, not by gold or silver,
    but by His blood
    (1 Peter 1:18–19).
  • We are loved: Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38–39).
  • We are chosen: Called to be holy and set apart (Ephesians 1:4).

When we understand this, our lives shift from chasing approval to living with purpose.

What Jesus Expects from Us Daily

Christian living is not about occasional acts of faith it is about daily surrender. Jesus expects us to walk with Him in the ordinary moments of life.

  • Love God fully: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.” (Mark 12:30)
  • Love others sincerely: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
  • Obey His Word: “If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15)
  • Bear fruit: “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit.” (John 15:8)

Daily faith is not about perfection but about persistence choosing Christ again and again, even in weakness.

Warnings Against Falsehood

Jesus warned us that not everyone who speaks in His name truly belongs to Him. In today’s world, we must be discerning.

False Prophets

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” (Matthew 7:15)
False prophets twist Scripture for gain, leading people astray. We must test every teaching against the Word of God.

False Christians

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)
Some claim Christ but live in disobedience. True discipleship is not about words but about obedience and love.

False Witnesses

Jesus condemned false testimony: “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.” (Exodus 20:16).

Truth is central to Christian living. Lies destroy trust and dishonor God.
As followers of Christ, we are called to be people of integrity.

Living Authentically in Christ

Christian living means authenticity. It means being the same person in private as in public, letting Christ shine through our actions.

  • Authenticity in faith: Pray sincerely, not for show.
  • Authenticity in love: Serve others without expecting recognition.
  • Authenticity in truth: Speak honestly, even when it costs.

Jesus calls us to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16) to preserve truth and shine hope in a dark world.

“The one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matthew 24:13

Reflection and Application

  • Where do you find your value, Christ or the world?
  • Are your daily actions reflecting what Jesus expects?
  • Do you guard yourself against falsehood by staying rooted in Scripture?

Living in Christ is not a one-time decision but a daily journey.
It is choosing truth over lies, love over hate, and obedience over rebellion.

Closing Encouragement

Christian living is about valuing Christ above all, walking daily in His expectations, and guarding against deception. Jesus calls us to be authentic, truthful, and faithful living testimonies of His grace and truth.

Let us remember: “The one who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13)

May we endure faithfully, living each day with Christ as our value,
our guide, and our hope.
